POWR Product Updates Newsletter - November 2024 Edition

We're back with the November edition of POWR Product Updates! This past month we launched an undo/redo edit feature, mobile UX improvements to popup, autoresponder email layout refresher and lots of other news from the POWR Ranger team. Read on for more details.

Featured Update - Undo/Redo App Edits in One Click


One of the top feature requests from last quarter was to provide the ability to undo and redo edits with a single click.

New App Releases

1. Music Player


Our Music Player app is a versatile tool designed to enhance websites by integrating customizable audio streaming capabilities.

Key Music Player Features:

  • Digital Download Sales: Embed payment links to sell original music as digital downloads directly from your website.
  • Stream Your Collection: Stream favorite tracks or original music by uploading MP3 files.
  • Responsive Audio: Create a fully responsive audio stream suitable for music, podcasts, or audiobooks, complete with links to platforms like iTunes, Google Play, or Amazon Music.
  • Unlimited Tracks: Add an unlimited number of songs to your custom music player, accommodating extensive playlists.
  • Loop Playback: Set your playlist to play on an infinite loop, ensuring continuous audio streaming for visitors.

 

2. WhatsApp Chat

Our WhatsApp Chat App is a versatile tool designed to enhance website engagement and customer support through real-time communication.

Key WhatsApp Chat Features

  • Multi-Platform Integration: Connect with site visitors via popular messaging platforms such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Telegram, facilitating seamless communication.
  • Automated Responses: Set up automated messages to promptly address common inquiries, improving user experience even during off-hours.
  • Customizable Design: Tailor the chat interface to align with your brand's aesthetics by adjusting colors, fonts, borders, and other design elements.
  • Flexible Positioning: Choose the chat tool's placement on your website, such as embedding it on specific pages or positioning it in the bottom right corner for optimal visibility.
  • Mobile Responsiveness: Ensure the chat function operates smoothly across various devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones, providing a consistent user experience.
  • Advanced Customization: Access additional features such as custom images, bubble icons, custom triggers, message delays, advanced backgrounds, and lead tracking with subscription upgrades

 

Adjustments & Improvements

Let's go through some of the adjustments and improvements we made to both our website apps and some of the many platforms that POWR apps are available on.

Website Apps

  • Countdown Timer: Get more control over your countdown timer with exact 'Right Now' time. Also corrected issue where changes were not saving on refresh/reload.
  • Popup: Many improvements made to the mobile experience for popups, like the full screen overlay and adjusted floating tab to show completely.
  • Form Builder: Get more precise data with Google Analytics tracking for your forms (with event listener code) to get exact details. Also set CAPTCHA orientation.
  • Store Locator Map: Made adjustments to the pins on store locator map so they fit better on the screen improving the overall look of the map and added a search bar for quick location lookup.

Platforms

  • Shopify: Shopify had an error in their theme liquid code that gave a warning message instead of the code itself. That has been corrected and now the correct code will display for all POWR apps on Shopify.
  • Ecwid: We have added 2 new apps on Ecwid! Available now on the marketplace are Product Reviews + Star Ratings and FAQ Help Center bringing our app total to 8 (with 4 more on the way). 

News & Announcements

  • Instagram Requiring a Business or Creator Account


Effective Dec 4, 2024, Instagram is requiring all users of 3rd party apps, widgets and plugins to have a Business or Creator Account

If you already have a Social Feed app, go to your dashboard, select the app and disconnect your Instagram, then simply reconnect it, and go through the steps.

If you don't have an Instagram Feed yet, once you install it, the prompts to connect will automatically appear.
